ACS has a relationship with Abhe & Svoboda, Inc. as a Mentor/Protégé in the SBA 8(a) program. Abhe & Svoboda (ASI) is a civil engineering firm located in Jordan, MN. ASI is an international company established in 1969 and incorporated in July of 1973. Their main office is located in Jordan, Minnesota, and they have bona fide offices in Hawaii, Connecticut, Michigan and California. Some of ASI’s most common projects include painting and coating systems, POL distribution and related projects, abrasive blasting, water blasting, lead and hazardous material abatement, lock and dam repair, etc. ASI has a highly qualified team of certified professionals that specialize in all areas of bridge and dam repair, proving time and time again that they are on the cutting edge of available techniques and technologies exemplified by outstanding performance reviews and ahead-of-schedule finished products. ASI has performed several high-profile POL distribution projects all over the world.
ASI owns the most complete set of state-of-the-art abrasive blasting, water blasting, painting, welding and confined space entry equipment which is employed by highly qualified and versatile personnel. They have performed lead abatement since 1971 and have performed total containment, negative-air projects since 1987. The Society of Protective Coatings (SSPC) has certified ASI with the SSPC-QP1 “Field Application of Coatings Complex Structures” and SSPC-QP2 “Industrial Hazardous Paint Removal” as well as SSPC-QSI “Advanced Quality Management System QMS” and has met or exceeded the annual SSPC Painter Contractor Certification Programs. ACS and ASI have successfully completed numerous successful projects together for the USACE.
Another SBA approved Mentor in the SBA 8(a) MPA program is Richard Brady Construction. Brady is a well-known presence in the Southern California and East Coast Federal Contracting market, with a multitude of successful projects completed to their credit. Brady is an industry leader in safety, quality control and has multiple fast tracking projects including Job Order Contracts completed for the Department of the Navy on both the west and east coast. Their firm brings with it the experience, the financial capacity, bonding capacity and the teaming infrastructure required to successfully complete multiple Indefinite Quantity formatted contracts. With offices on both the west and the east coast Brady always has the required personnel on-hand, hand-picked by Mr. Richard Brady himself to ensure that they meet the highest qualification standards. In conjunction with their construction division, Brady is also a worldwide leader in engineering, having designed and managed the construction of water conservation projects all over the globe. Whether it relates to construction or engineering, the Brady name is synonymous with quality, integrity and safety. Through this relationship and the ACS Brady JV, the ACS- Brady team has been successfully performing on a Job Order Contract (JOC) aboard Camp Pendleton, CA for NAVFAC SW.
Trane is a name that is synonymous with quality service and quality HVAC manufacturing. ACS has a strong partnership with Trane, which we have utilized to serve on numerous service related projects together. As a team, ACS and Trane service chillers of all sizes, compressors, boilers, HVAC piping and ducting, controls systems, and all other types of HVAC systems. Trane currently is partnered with ACS to serve on a preventative maintenance contract at both Tinker AFB, OK as well as the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center complex. This relationship ensures that no matter the size or complexity, we can deliver the right people with the correct certifications and the tools to succeed.
ACS has been working with Advanced Fire Protection for many years. Our strong business relationship has been utilized to serve the needs of many fire protection related projects at Tinker AFB, OK. Advanced Fire Protection’s crew of qualified personnel bring decades of experience to all aspects of fire protection. Advanced Fire Protection currently assists ACS in the preventative maintenance of backflow prevention, fire water booster pumps, wet suppression systems, dry suppression systems and all associated plumbing. Advanced Fire Protection brings with it the long-lasting reputation of excellence in servicing the Governments needs as well as providing qualified, certified technicians required to accomplish the job.
Every general contractor finds themselves with a need for quality equipment at an outstanding price. Whether it be rental equipment or equipment for purchase (new or used), ACS and United Rentals have developed a strong business relationship together. We have worked together to serve the needs of the Government both in the execution of ACS projects nationwide and to offer equipment to the Government to purchase. Utilizing this relationship, ACS can ensure that we have the right equipment for any project of any size. We can also competitively offer the Government new equipment at manufacturer’s pricing through the utilization of various small business set-asides. Whatever the need may be, together our team can offer a viable solution at a competitive price.
Native Star Group (NSG) is a Native American, woman-owned, certified 8(a) & HUBZone contractor. As NSG was starting out, ACS became their mentor. Native Star Group has successfully earned a place on the preferred bid list for several general contractors in the Oklahoma City area, with the capacity to manage two to three concurrent projects within this division. Our ownership structure is comprised entirely of American Indian heritage, and we are certified as a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and HUBZone entity.
The ownership, key employees, and project supervisors at Native Star Group bring a wealth of experience across a variety of industries. Our team has substantial expertise in pump stations, oil refineries, waterline and sewer line installation, plumbing, HVAC, concrete work, specialty welding, fabrication, installation, and ongoing maintenance.
With over 50 years of combined experience, our key personnel have developed strong capabilities in project estimating, planning, and management. This includes overseeing major oil refinery turnaround overhauls with budgets ranging from $10 to $18 million, which required completion within tight four-to-six-week timelines. Additionally, several of our key employees have significant experience in government contracting, having successfully managed numerous projects in critical leadership roles.
